Air pollution investment case
Estimate the health burden of air pollution
This tool reproduces the UNDP integrated exposure-response (IER) model that previously had to be run in R. It calculates the deaths and disease cases attributable to fine particulate matter (PM2.5), and exports the results in the format the investment-case workbook expects — no statistical software, no code.
1
Bring your data
Use the built-in Ghana sample to explore, or upload your country's exposure, population and disease figures.
2
Set the parameters
Choose the counterfactual exposure (WHO guideline is 5 µg/m³), the regions, the conditions and the projection years.
3
Read the results
See the deaths and new cases attributable to air pollution, broken down by region, age and condition.
4
Export to the workbook
Download the forecast table and paste it straight into the UNDP investment-case workbook.
Takes about two minutes.
